It's been nearly 10 weeks since we began living life in isolation. As we enter into the next phase of easing restrictions, we would like to check in with you to see how you are doing.
We understand that although we might be facing the same storm, we are not all in the same boat. We wish to acknowledge that each of our experiences and struggles is different and that they are all valid.
We are still here to provide you with a place to connect, belong and grow. We aim to empower you to thrive and develop your capacity to create because we believe that what you create can make an impact on those around you.
Our priorities for this season remain the same:
SAFETY. To prevent virus spread, our in-person events will be on-hold until further notice.
CONNECTION. To create opportunities for connection during the time of isolation.
SUPPORT. To provide what we can to support our community.
With our creative arts sector being severely impacted by the pandemic, the Made to Create board and I have decided to move towards establishing support structures to help creatives prepare for life after Covid-19.
We would like to invite you to share your stories and needs. We are planning to offer support programs but to be effective, we need to know what kind of support you need to help you recover from this crisis and rebuild your creative practice.
We understand that surveys are tedious, but your contribution to filling out our simple 5-min survey will ultimately benefit you because it will help us:
• Shape the way we write our applications for grants to fund the support we provide, based on stories and needs that have come from you
• Offer the right training and resources you need to recover and rebuild
• Partner with the right people who can help us support you better
• Provide relevant forums or opportunities that can benefit you
To have your say and help prepare our community recover and rebuild, please fill in our 5-min online form by the 14th June 2020. We thank you in advance and we hope that you are well and keeping safe.
