Unlocking Your Inherent Creativity

Let There Be Light

from Inés Hemmings

Letters of Hope

Dear Friend,

If you are reading this, I hope you are safe. Over the past few weeks, we have collectively witnessed how fast life can change. The things that we usually deem certain — like a job, food, and even physical touch — have suddenly become uncertain.

No matter how the changes have been affecting you, it is important to know that there is an online community for you, just a click away. Don’t be afraid to reach out. We are happy to welcome you!

I stumbled upon the Made to Create community in 2019 and have since attended their events almost every month. It feels so comforting to know that there are people to hang out that encourage me to grow, create and honestly, just be myself. It would be great to meet you at the next ‘real’ event too!

A little bit about myself: I am Inés! Currently self-employed and in the process of releasing a book. It has been taking longer than expected. Several unexpected twists along the way have stretched out the process. Then my savings ran out. I was intending to get speaking gigs. And then 'bam!' Covid19 happened. Now I am living on a bare minimum, in a very resourceful way. Every day that goes by, I am just immensely grateful to be able to have a roof above my head and have some food.

Despite the chaos, I am trusting that things are getting better. It may be hard to believe — but sometimes when we feel that everything around us gives us evidence that life is going in the ‘wrong’ direction, what may very well be is that things are happening for our highest evolution. One step back — two steps forward.

It’s usually not the comforts but the pains that urge us to look within. Sometimes we need contrast to show us who we want to be. Often the greatest losses precede the greatest transformations. What we are experiencing now is collective trauma coming up to the surface. Wounds that have never seen the Light. If you feel strange, angry, sad, stressed, powerless…please know it’s ok to feel that way. Allow yourself to feel. When you feel, you heal. For when your wound is open, the Light can come in. To flood the abyss of your Soul. This — is your Awakening.
